Buried / Buried (Rodrigo Cortés)
Since its introduction in the Sundance Festival, this co-French English-filmed in Barcelona has been one of the great successes of film last year.
The secret of their well received by both critics and box office results in large part that takes full advantage of Buried a minimum staging serves perfectly to tell a story that is inserted into the tradition of the best suspense, with clear echoes of Alfred Hitchcock movies.
Much of the success of this film by Rodrigo Cortés should achacársele also the superb interpretation of its star, Ryan Reynolds, omnipresent in the 95 claustrophobic minutes of footage, in its role as American contractor kidnapped and buried alive in Iraq.
